The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is partnering with NACD to provide free, reliable tax preparation services to eligible community members during the 2026 tax season.

IRS-certified volunteers will be available to help individuals and families file their federal and state tax returns accurately, ensuring they receive the refunds and credits they qualify for at no cost.

  • February 9th

  • February 23rd

  • March 9th

  • March 23rd

  • April 6th

Who Is Eligible?

VITA services are available to individuals and families who:

  • Earn $69,000 or less annually

  • Have a valid State ID and Social Security card(s)

  • Need assistance with:

    • Federal and state tax returns

    • Homestead Property Tax Credit

    • Home Heating Credit

What to Expect

  • Free, confidential tax preparation

  • IRS-certified volunteers

  • Support filing both federal and state returns

  • Trusted guidance to help you file accurately and on time
